Magpies flop opens up on failed exit

Newcastle United striker Yoshinori Muto has claimed (via Sports Witness) that his exit from the club was blocked last January, after the Magpies rejected an offer from Eibar despite the player wishing to leave.

The Japanese forward finally departed the club, temporarily, earlier in the month, with Eibar getting their man on a season-long loan deal.

Leicester City and Aston Villa cash in on players

Leicester City have confirmed today that Malian winger Fousseni Diabate has left the club to join Turkish side Trabzonspor, in a deal thought to be worth around €2m.

Meanwhile, Villa have flogged flop striker Mbwana Samatta to Fenerbahce, on a loan deal with obligation-to-buy for a fee of £5.5m at the end of the current campaign.
