Newcastle United's return to the Champions League means a busy summer window is expected on Tyneside.
The club will need to strengthen both the quality and depth of Howe's squad ahead of the season that will see them balance domestic and European competitions for the first time in over a decade.
The club, unsurprisingly, have been linked with signing a whole host of players over the past few weeks or so and with the transfer window opening on Wednesday June 14 (an the international one beginning on July 1), these rumours continue to build and gather pace.
Here, we take a look at what Howe's match day squad next season could look like based on all the current transfer rumours.

9. RW: Anthony Gordon
Gordon may not have hit the heights many expected of him just yet, but a pre-season under Howe could be what he needs to flourish at the club. He shone at the Under-21 Euros and could carry this confidence into the next season. | AFP via Getty Images

10. ST: Alexander Isak
Isak has enjoyed a great first season in English football and may be tasked with leading the line on a regular basis next season. | AFP via Getty Images

11. LW: Harvey Barnes
Leicester City’s relegation from the Premier League could see a summer exodus at the club. Barnes impressed in a struggling team, and could be one to move this summer. A great return of 13 goals last season makes him a very hot property in the transfer market. | AFP via Getty Images

12. SUB: Loris Karius
Karius has extended his stay on Tyneside by a further year. With Martin Dubravka and Karl Darlow’s future at the club up in the air, Karius could begin the campaign with a greater influence in the squad. | Getty Images
