Newcastle United return to Premier League action this weekend when they host Manchester United.
A win for Eddie Howe’s side would make it six straight Premier League wins at St James’ Park and be the second time they have defeated the Red Devils this season having triumphed 3-0 at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup last month.
Whilst Erik ten Hag’s side are one of the in-form teams in the division, Newcastle will believe they are more than capable of securing a big win on Saturday, but they will have to do that without a raft of key players and on the back of a gruelling 90 minutes against PSG in midweek.
Here, we take a look at the latest injury news from both camps ahead of Newcastle United’s clash with Manchester United:

9. Elliot Anderson - out
Anderson has suffered a back injury and could be sidelined for a further six weeks with the injury. With a very hectic schedule to come, not having Anderson’s services will be a huge blow for the Magpies. | Getty Images

10. Harvey Barnes - out
Barnes picked up a foot injury at Bramall Lane in September and has not featured for the Magpies since that day. Whilst there is hope that he can return before a busy festive period, he is expected to be out for another few matches. | Getty Images

11. Sven Botman - out
The Dutchman still has a little longer to go in his recovery from a knee injury. Botman hasn’t featured for the club since the win over Sheffield United and will miss the clash against the Red Devils. 12. Matt Targett - out
Targett was substituted very early on against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup after suffering a hamstring injury. The left-back has undergone surgery on the injury and will thus miss the next few months of action. | Getty Images
