Newcastle United have unearthed 'powerful' goalscorer with 'rich potential' after transfer U-turn
William Osula has enjoyed a strong second half to the season for Newcastle United after returning from injury.
Eddie Howe believes the best is yet to come from William Osula at Newcastle United despite the striker scoring four goals in his last six Premier League appearances.
The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Newcastle this season, with a move to Eintracht Frankfurt lined up last summer, only for it to fall through on deadline day. Aston Villa were also strongly linked with the Danish forward.
The interest has remained in Osula, who has been used more regularly at Newcastle compared to his debut season at the club.

And the increased faith shown in him by Howe has been repaid in recent weeks with goals against Manchester United, Crystal Palace, AFC Bournemouth and Brighton.
Despite being Newcastle’s fourth-choice striker when the summer transfer window closed, he is now ending the season as first choice in the position. Osula’s progress has seen the club change its stance on whether to sell the player, having previously agreed to let him leave.

‘A lot more’ to come from William Osula at NUFC
But the Newcastle head coach can only speak highly of the forward at the moment as he looks to build on his positive run of form at Nottingham Forest this weekend.
“Yeah, I think a lot more [to come],” Howe admitted. “I think he's got really rich potential. He's obviously outstandingly quick, powerful, can score goals off both feet. He's good in the air.
“So I think he's got a real array of different scoring techniques that he can use. He's really willing to learn and improve. I really love that about him from day one here.
“He's put a lot of work in in his game. He really has. He's very committed to that process. And I think he's got a really good general, a really good attitude to football. He enjoys the game, he wants to play. He's a very positive guy.
“So it's great to see him doing well. I've seen how hard he's had to work to get that success. And now he's in the team and doing well. He's got to make sure that he continues to stick to those processes that have worked for him.”
