Newcastle United youngster ready to be unleashed after double striker injury blow - loan watch
Newcastle United loan watch: Sean Neave has been handed a potential opportunity to impress at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
A double striker injury blow at Wolverhampton Wanderers is set to see Newcastle United loanee Sean Neave handed his first senior league start.
Wolves travel to face Burnley in the Championship on Friday night looking to bounce back from successive defeats. Neave joined Wolves on loan from Newcastle at the end of the summer transfer window in a move that raised a few eyebrows.
The 19-year-old’s first loan spell was to a newly relegated Championship club who already had experienced forwards in Raul Jimenez and Adam Armstrong at their disposal. Unsurprisingly, Neave has been limited to four substitute appearances and just 18 minutes of Championship football so far this season, with his only start coming in the away defeat to Everton in the Carabao Cup.

But a double injury blow for Wolves will see Neave handed a big opportunity to impress with both Jimenez and Armstrong ruled out of the trip to Turf Moor.
Wolves confirmed earlier this week that Jimenez requires surgery on an MCL knee injury that is set to rule him out until the new year. And ahead of the trip to Burnley, former Newcastle forward Armstrong was also ruled out.
Wolves head coach Cesar Peixoto revealed: “[Armstrong] has a problem in his back. He made a lot of effort to help the team. He's an important player for us.
“We rotated the first game to the second four or five players, we're going to do it again.
“Adam has a problem in the back, he's not going to play, but in the next game we think he's ready to play.
“The Championship is like that. We have to manage the minutes and because of that I wanted two players per position during these moments of the season to rotate the team.
“We have confidence in all the players. All the players in three games are going to play, almost all of them, and we have three more games next week.
“We have to manage the minutes to not have injury problems and Adam is one of the players that will play more minutes. We have to manage him also.”
After coming off the bench in each of Wolves’ last three Championship matches, is set to make his full senior league debut on Friday night.
