Pictures circulated by the club on social media show the pair both involved in training drills with the rest of the Magpies’s squad raising hopes Clark and Dummett could well return to the fold for this weekend’s trip to Everton.

Manager Steve Bruce was without Dummett and Clark, as well as Federico Fernandez, for the midweek home loss to Leeds United.
