With less than a week before deadline day, Newcastle have yet to make a move in the January window.
They have been linked with a plethora of players this month, but have not yet added to Eddie Howe’s squad, despite losing Chris Wood to Nottingham Forest.
Wood’s departure does mean the Magpies will likely look to strengthen in attacking areas before the window closes.
They may also look to add depth to their midfield and defensive options as they aim to push on and secure European qualification.
