Newcastle United's -£65m five-year transfer net spend compared to Southampton & West Brom

Newcastle United have done some fine business in the 2020/21 campaign, bringing in the likes of star striker Callum Wilson and key defender Jamal Lewis to significantly strengthen the squad at manager Steve Bruce's disposal.

We've taken a look (via Transfermarkt data) at how Newcastle United' s five-year transfer net spend compares to every other Premier League side, along with each teams most expensive signing over the period. Here's where the Magpies rank in the intriguing spending league table:

Biggest season net spend: -£203.5m. Highest transfer fee paid: £64m for Ruben Dias from Benfica in 2020.

1. Manchester City -£564m net spend last five seasons
