The Magpies have been linked with summer transfer deals in the past weeks.
Reports have suggested the Tynesiders could look to bring Joe Willock back from Arsenal.
There’s also talk of a £6million move for Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer alongside a double loan swoop for Chelsea’s Billy Gilmour and Tammy Abraham.
Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez is currently third favourite to take the reins at Everton with the bookies.
The Toffees lost Carlo Ancelotti yesterday, with the Italian legend returning to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Benitez, who first managed in England with Everton’s Merseyside rivals Liverpool, is 6/1 on to take over at Goodison Park.
