Paraguay issue Miguel Almiron injury update amid fears his Copa America campaign is over

Almiron left the field in tears after suffering what looked like a hamstring injury in Monday night’s defeat to Uruguay in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

And it was feared that the midfielder would be ruled out of the rest of the tournament.

Paraguay last night issued an update on Almiron ahead of Friday's game against Peru in Goiania.

The 27-year-old has suffered a muscle edema injury, according to Paraguayan officials.
