Premier League confirm important date that Newcastle United will hope matters to them

After the start of this season was delayed until September due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the top-flight is set to revert back to its August start date.

The campaign will run until May 22, while the FA Cup final traditionally takes place after the league season has ended.

Newcastle United’s precarious position in the table means Steve Bruce’s side are still unsure on what division they’ll be next term.

The Magpies are just two points above Fulham in the relegation zone with nine games left to play.
