'Pure counter attack' – Newcastle United fans react to Steve Bruce's interesting Fulham selection tweak
While all the talk was of tweaks and changes, bringing kids in, giving fringe men a chance, Bruce has made just one change – and it is to bring in Sean Longstaff for injured Joelinton, shifting Miguel Almiron up top.
Here’s now #NUFC reacted to the news…
@GeordiePirate9 – “Man City tactics...”
@MrOptima2002 – “Maybe he thinks he’s Man City now?"
@NUFC360 – “Gayle isn’t the best and was poor last game. But he’s scored a few for us and has been picked behind Joelinton and Wilson. Now both are out and he still doesn’t start after numerous times heard he’s rated by Bruce in the media. How would your motivation be? #nufc.”

Hide AdJodes Lavender @Jodestar98 – “It’s last game of the season. We’re safe. Fulham are relegated. We have nothing to lose. Why the hell is Matty not starting?”
@Craig17317552 – “I think it will be a high press involved of Maxi, Miggy and Willock with the 3 of them kinda having a free reign across the top.”
@TheGingerPirlo_ – “I like it. Pure counter attack.”
@jonesylad1977 – “Looks like a don't lose line up. This has a 0-0 written all over it. It would be better to play some kids and have a look at them than no centre forward.”
@stedon369 – “That team doesn’t exactly say goals does it? My point is why are they even thinking about giving Gayle another contract when he doesn’t even play him when we haven’t got anyone else!”
