Rafa Benitez is set to be confirmed as Everton’s new manager next week, according to a report.
The former Newcastle United manager has been in talks with the managerless club over the past fortnight.
And “key aspects” of his contract have been agreed, according to Sky Sports News.
There have been protests from some Everton fans over the proposed appointment because of Benitez’s previous affiliation with their rivals Liverpool.
Benitez, based on Merseyside, left Chinese club Dalian Professional early this year.
