Reported Newcastle United target sees price tag slashed amid coronavirus uncertainty

A reported Newcastle United target has had £10million slashed off his price tag amid the current coronavirus uncertainty.

Le10Sport are reporting that Marseille are ready to accept a cut-price deal for midfielder Morgan Sanson with £23million the amount they are seeking to recoup, despite rejecting a £33million bid from West Ham United for the player last year.

Aston Villa, Everton, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in the player, along with United.

French giants Marseille find themselves in dire straits as they look to get their books in line with Financial Fair Play regulations.

A number of players were set to be sold this summer even without the COVID-19 outbreak, which is sweeping across Europe and has caused the suspension of Ligue 1, the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga as well as international fixtures including Euro 2020.
