'Restart match' Frustrated Newcastle United fans react after dominant Manchester City half
Newcastle United fans have had little to cheer after the opening 45 minutes, with Manchester City leading 1-0 after an utterly dominant display.
City lead thanks to Kevin De Bruyne's penalty. They had countless chances and dominated possession, they had 85% of it at one stage of the opening half.
Newcastle have been on the backfoot for much of the game and Steve Bruce will want to see a big improvement second half from his players.
Here’s the best of the fan reaction following the opening 45 minutes at SJP ahead of a big second half to come.
@Owen_h180: ‘Embarrassing’
@moneymaximin ‘Restart match’
@liam_kerridge: ‘Just GO FOR IT! Nout to lose’
@OwenCoo79626851 ‘Appreciated that they are one of the best teams in the world, but would love the hope that we have a chance in this game. Change the tactics, go to a back 4. It’s the cup, doesn’t matter if it’s 1-0 or 8-0, just would love to be proud of the lads’
@SellersTony: ‘Bruce has cost us absolutely disgraceful performance. What do we do in the training? We have to have a go second half now.’
@AngelNUFC ‘Pep will get back into the dressing room and just laugh, no team talk needed we are horrific.’
@samzala93: ‘What’s the actual game plan here?’
@kilbane_leon: ‘Shocking can’t believe what I’m watching.’
