Revealed: Newcastle United's player pick for ePremier League tie against Moussa Sissoko

The Premier League have organised an esports tournament following football’s suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Players from its 20 clubs will go head to head in the ePremier League Invitational tournament, which is taking place on the EA Sports FIFA 20 video game.

Winger Christian Atsu will represent Newcastle, who have been drawn against Tottenham Hotspur, represented by former United midfielder Moussa Sissoko, in the first round.

Premier League chief executive Richard Masters said: “We’re aware of the importance of finding new ways to entertain fans at this time, and we’re excited to bring together a strong line-up of players for the ePremier League Invitational tournament.”

Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace), Andre Gomes (Everton) and Diogo Jota (Wolverhampton Wanderers) are also playing for their respective clubs. The tournament, which kicks off on Wednesday, will be streamed live on YouTube, Twitch and the Premier League’s online channels.
