Parker’s third-bottom side are just three points behind Steve Bruce’s team, and the former Newcastle midfielder has talked up his players ahead of Thusrday night’s home game against Tottenham Hotspur.
“I see these players every day – I’m confident in what I see,” said Parker. “I see the attacking players coming in, trying to improve and get better.

A lot of these players are around the Premier League for the first time, and what I want from my group of players is a real honesty that we keep trying to improve.
