Newcastle United’s hero against West Brom was former Baggies’ striker Dwight Gayle – and the Magpies faithful were delighted with their returning frontman’s contribution on social media.
Here’s what #NUFC Twitter had to say about the 2-1 win...
@Mooseprog – “Dwighty Dwighty Dwighty. Natural finisher, links up the play. Stay fit Dwighty.”
@Steve75352146 – “He made the right subs that changed and ultimately won the game. Bruce deserves some credit for this one.”
@SuperBrucie – “How’s the Back to Back Bacon did ya say?”
@MBradley70 – “Must say I thought Issac Hayden was superb at centre half today.”
@NewcastleToons – “The overall performance from #NUFC raised some red flags, but two goals from Almiron and Gayle secured three important points.”
@daddydoots77 – “Not a great game for #nufc and #wba will feel unlucky. Wilson and Hayden best in black and white. But Gallagher ran the show for a chunk of the game. Good prospect.”
