Steve Bruce makes just one change for Manchester City – and leaves Sean Longstaff on bench

Javier Manquillo starts in place of the DeAndre Yedlin, who has a hip injury.

Otherwise, Bruce has named an unchanged Newcastle United starting XI for the televised game (12.30pm kick-off), which follows a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa.

Sean Longstaff, back from suspension, is on the bench.

NEWCASTLE UNITED: Dubravka; Manquillo, Fernandez, Clark, Dummett, Willems; Almiron, Hayden, Shelvey, Saint-Maximin; Joelinton. Subs: Darlow, Schar, Gayle, Krafth, Atsu, S Longstaff, M Longstaff.
