Steve Bruce makes SIX changes for FA Cup tie

Steve Bruce has made SIX changes for Newcastle United’s fifth-round FA Cup tie against West Bromwich Albion.

Bruce’s side take on the Championship club at The Hawthorns tonight, and Allan Saint-Maximin, Fabian Schar, Nabil Bentaleb, Sean Longstaff, Valentino Lazaro and Karl Darlow come into the side. Dwight Gayle – who spent last season on loan at West Brom – is on the bench along with Jonjo Shelvey and Matt Ritchie.

West Brom head coach Slaven Bilic, meanwhile, has made nine changes.

United head coach Bruce said: “They’re a very good side. I thought two or three weeks ago they were going to run away it (the Championshio), but that happens. They’ve been in the Premier League not that long ago, and still have a lot of Premier League players.”
