Steve Bruce reacts to Newcastle United's dramatic FA Cup win

Bruce’s Newcastle United side are 90 minutes from an FA Cup semi-final at the national stadium following tonight’s 3-2 fifth-round win over West Bromwich Albion.

Miguel Almiron scored twice – and Valentino Lazaro also found the net – at The Hawthorns.

And head coach Bruce said: “The supporters would love a day out at Wembley, I’m sure they would, and now we’re just one win away. Let’s look forward to the draw and see who we get. Can we get a home tie and fill it to the rafters? Who knows. We’re a step closer, so let’s see who we pull out of the hat, but there’s still some big teams left in, isn’t there?”

On West Brom’s two late goals, Bruce said: “I’ve only been at the club seven months, but it wouldn’t be Newcastle without the drama would it?”
