Usual No1 Martin Dubravka, having missed the full season up to Saturday, made an assured, calming return to action in the FA Cup against Arsenal.

Previous to that Karl Darlow has won praise for his performances in the Premier League, with some fans even calling for the stand-in to be considered for an England call.

He said: “I’m delighted with the goalkeeping situation we’ve got. We have two quality goalkeepers. Martin, again, has reminded us what a good goalkeeper he is, and Karl has been very good all season.

"So I’ve got one of them awful ones (decisions) – let’s hope I pick the right one."

United’s game against the Blades is a 6pm kick-off.
