Steve Bruce rules out permanent deals at Newcastle United ahead of transfer deadline
The transfer window closes on Monday, and Newcastle United are only looking at the loan market, according to Bruce.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow night’s home game against Burnley, United’s head coach said: “I don’t expect to be that busy.

"We brought the four or five players in without the need for a hectic scramble. If a good player becomes available on loan, we’ll look at it. But as things stand, I don’t expect to be busy. We still need people to leave.”
Asked if the club would not be making a permanent signing before the deadline, Bruce said: “Yeah, I’m ruling that out. That won’t be happening.
“We made a conscious effort to do it early. We’ve had even games in 21 days. We’ve rotated the squad. We got them in before the season started, and, for me, that’s the best way.

Newcastle have signed Callum Wilson, Ryan Fraser, Jeff Hendrick and Ryan Fraser so far in the window, and Bruce said: “We made a conscious effort to get them in before the season started. I’m very pleased with what we’ve done.”
