Steve Bruce's Jacob Murphy 'headache' and the 'importance' of Miguel Almiron – our fan panel express their Newcastle United views
and live on Freeview channel 276
The Magpies strolled to a 7-0 win in round four of the Carabao Cup at League Two Morecambe’s Mazuma Stadium, thanks to goals from Joelinton (2), Jacob Murphy, Miguel Almiron, Isaac Hayden, Jamaal Lascelles and Matt Ritchie.
Only one of those goalscorers is guaranteed a place in United’s starting XI in the Premier League – and our fan panel think that’s given Bruce some things to consider at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Lee Forster – @LeeDForster
“Bring ON Rodney Parade.
“Happy with that. A potential banana skin overcome comfortably.
"Miggy (Miguel Almiron) and (Jacob) Murphy excellent – and despite having little to do (Mark) Gillespie looks very steady.
“Second half didn’t really tell us anything other than: 1. How important Miggy is to the team 2. When Carroll is up top the team tend to lump it more in hope than anything else.”

“Well my prediction before the game was spot on. People will say ‘it was only Morecambe’ but you can only beat what's in front of you.
"Players were given valuable minutes and it has to be said that they will give Bruce a headache when picking the starting XI for the trip to Spurs.
"(Jacob) Murphy was stand out for me but (Miguel) Almiron and Joelinton had great games too and the latters double should hopefully raise his confidence levels.
"Hopefully Newcastle will be able to replicate this sort of performance when we visit another League Two side in Newport County next week in the last 16.

“Happy with the result but they are mistaken if they think spurs will be that easy. We dominated the game and got some goals.
"Great to be able to watch an enjoyable game for Newcastle. I would say it was a slow second half for me. Carroll should have buried his header.”
