Steve Bruce's Newcastle United starting XI has fans baffled as they ask 'where is Ryan Fraser?'

Steve Bruce has revealed his Newcastle United starting XI for this afternoon’s visit to Tottenham Hotspur – and his selections have got the Geordie faithful talking.

Three changes, two enforced. The recall of Joelinton, Miguel Almiron and Joelinton as well as the absence of Allan Saint-Maximin and Ryan Fraser.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to the news…

@RariCo4Ever – “Make us proud Miggy!!”

@WallsendGeordie – “Quite happy with that team like.”

@sixhourssouth – “Our bench is woeful by the way.”

@Claire_NUFC – “What's up with Fraser? Did he pick up an injury?”

@kestrel1971 – “Matt Ritchie LB in a 4. no thank you.”

@AOlssonNUFC – “What is Bruce’s obsession with Joelinton?”

@nufcmax__ max – “5-4-1 Hayden at centre back, Joelinton on the wing?”

@ToonMouthTyne – “That bench is pathetic. Two right backs and a left back. Shows we still need a couple of bodies in.

@ToonForChange – “Hayden at centre back in a back 5? Struggling to work out the formation!”
