Steve Bruce has made some surprise selection calls in sending out a Newcastle United team to take on Manchester City at the Etihad.
And it sounds like Newcastle United fans are far from happy with the calls their manager has made.
Here’s what #NUFC Twitter had to say about Bruce’s XI...
@Garwain – “So the plan is to drop your top goal scorer and have Joelinton leading the line on his own, as if a full season on his own up top hasn’t been enough to show it doesn’t work.”
@DannyG1307 – “Bruce feeding Matty (Longstaff) the wolves tonight. A poor display backs up his decision to not have him near the squad. Can’t be any worse than his brother or Jonjo. Good luck, you’re gonna need it.”
@iCoreHeatz – “I’ll be surprised if we get a shot on goal.”
@paz_parish – “Not even starting a proper forward, coz we can’t get out of our own half. Brucey’s surrender mags!”
