Just a few weeks ago, many believed that it would be a four-horse race for survival between Norwich City, Watford, Burnley and Newcastle United.

13. Crystal Palace: 44 points (-3GD)
Patrick Vieira’s side have spent all season around mid-table and that’s where they are being predicted to finish the campaign with the supercomputer giving them just a 2% chance of dropping into the Championship. Photo: Christopher Lee

14. Newcastle United: 39 points (-24GD)
Newcastle are being tipped to be the ‘best of the rest’ which in itself demonstrates simply what a remarkable turnaround it has been for Eddie Howe’s side in 2022. They’re currently seven games unbeaten and have been given just a 17% chance of relegation this season. Photo: GEOFF CADDICK

15. Burnley: 38 points (-11GD)
Another side that have enjoyed a turnaround in fortunes is Burnley who, with two wins and a draw in their last three games, have fired themselves up the table and, despite being in the relegation zone right now, the supercomputer is predicting that their recent good form will continue. The Clarets have been given just a 21% chance of relegation. Photo: Alex Livesey

16. Everton: 37 points (-19GD)
As a consequence of Newcastle and Burnley’s improved form, Everton have been sucked into the relegation picture and are slipping dangerously to losing their top-flight status. The supercomputer has given them a 25% chance of meeting that fate in May. Photo: Lewis Storey
