Eddie Howe’s side have a nine-point cushion to Watford who currently occupy the last place in the relegation zone.

The break has allowed Newcastle to refresh themselves after a gruelling schedule - but will that have an effect on their Premier League run-in?

Safety is by no means assured for Howe and his team, however, a couple of positive results in the next few weeks, starting in the capital, could have a dramatic effect on the relegation picture.
