The current injury crisis surrounding the club means that Newcastle may be very active in the January transfer window in order to strengthen the options available to Eddie Howe.
They will also likely be busy next summer as well as they look to consolidate their position as one of the Premier League’s strongest teams.
However, any signings they do make will have to be offset with departures and, despite only being in November, there are a host of players that are set to leave the club as it stands.
Here, we take a look at the ten players that are set to leave Newcastle United in the summer - as it stands:

5. Javier Manquillo
Manquillo is yet to feature this season and has been linked with a move away from the club. With plenty of competition at right-back, a contract extension is unlikely for the former Liverpool man. | AFP via Getty Images

6. Paul Dummett
Dummett signed a one year extension at the end of last season to prolong his career at his boyhood club. He still plays a major role behind the scenes but with just a few months left of his current deal, and first-team opportunities severely limited, his future on Tyneside is unknown. | Getty Images

7. Jeff Hendrick
Hendrick is currently on-loan at Sheffield Wednesday. The Republic of Ireland international hasn’t featured for Newcastle since December 2021 with his contract on Tyneside set to expire at the end of the season. | Getty Images

8. Fabian Schar
Schar has become a very important part of Howe’s team and has recently described Newcastle as his ‘second home’. Schar has been brilliant again this season and hopes are high that he will extend his stay with the club. | Getty Images
