17. Ivan Toney - 2018
After only making a handful of appearances for Newcastle United, Ivan Toney was sold to Peterborough United for a reported fee of around £650,000. The striker has been fantastic since his departure - winning the EFL League One Player of the Year (2019/20) and PFA League One Team of the Year (2019/20) with Posh. Toney was sold to Brentford last summer for a reported fee of £10 million including add-ons and won promotion to the Premier League with the Bees. The forward scored 33 league goals last season. 18. Adam Armstrong - 2018
Adam Armstrong joined Blackburn Rovers for a reported fee of around £1.75m in August 2018 and scored over 40 goals in the Championship over the last two seasons. The 24-year-old joined Southampton this summer for around £15m and scored on his debut against Everton. Photo: Chris Brunskill
