The SIX deals Newcastle United could be involved in on transfer deadline day
The Magpies have signed three players on loan to buy deals this winter window – Nabil Bentaleb, Valentino Lazaro and Danny Rose.
Happy with his lot, Bruce is unlikely to dip back into the market between now and 11pm. But here’s SIX deals that could still go through...

1. Christian Atsu - Offered to clubs
The Ghanaian will be shown the door on loan, if United can find a taker. West Brom have been linked and could bite on deadline day. Photo: Marc Atkins

2. Ki Sung-yeung - Will be cut from 25
Another who has been offered around but few takers. On high wages and contract up at the end of the season. If a loan move to Celtic does not materialise, will be left out of the 25-man Premier League squad. Photo: Laurence Griffiths

3. Jamie Sterry - The forgotten man
Needs to leave to get gametime and kick-start his career but could well sit it out given the wages he gets at United are unlikely to be matched where he is heading. A solid player, may benefit from a League Two loan. Photo: Ian MacNicol

4. Liam Gibson - Back where he came from?
On the bench at Everton as full-back cover, Gibson is sure to be sent back out on loan having spent the first half of the season at Grimsby. Could he head back there? Photo: Pete Norton
