Debate among supporters on social media has been centred around a number of key issues, not least the Magpies’ form on the field which has seen the gap between them and the relegation zone sliced in recent weeks.

That has naturally led to question marks over the future of manager Steve Bruce, while the arrival of coach Graeme Jones – who sparked an early uplift in performances – has also created an intriguing dynamic.

The Big Newcastle United Survey: We want your views on the takeover, Steve Bruce and the club's ambitions

And perhaps the subject that has most fans talking is the ongoing uncertainty over the takeover of the club.

Mike Ashley remains keen to sell to the PCP Capital Partners-led consortium, and all his focus is on forcing a deal over the line in the coming months.

Various legal avenues are being explored after the deal was withdrawn last year – with hopes high on the buying side that a positive conclusion can be reached.

But many supporters have grown weary of the ongoing takeover talks, with the club’s future shrouded in uncertainty for a number of years.

And with all that in mind, we want to know what YOU think of the current goings-on at St James’s Park.

Is Steve Bruce the right man for the job? What’s a realistic finish for the club this season? And do you think this takeover will eventually be done?

We’re keen to hear your thoughts on all the major talking points as we reflect back on the season so far and look ahead to what’s to come in the future – both this season, and in the longer-term.

The survey is open now and we encourage you to submit your answers and share with your fellow supporters to ensure we hear as many views as possible.

Once the survey is closed, we’ll be releasing the full results next week to give you a full picture of how Newcastle United fans are really feeling about the key issues at their club.
