5. Dan Burn
Newcastle have reportedly spoken to Burn’s representatives over a move. The defender is reportedly very keen on a move back to his boyhood club, however, Brighton have rejected bids from Newcastle and are holding out for a £15m fee for the 29-year-old.

6. Hugo Ekitike
A bid worth £29m in total was rejected by Stade Reims because of an ‘impossible’ clause that means Newcastle would only have to pay some of the transfer fee should they qualify for the Champions League. West Ham have reportedly submitted a £21m bid for the Frenchman.

7. Mitchel Bakker
It appeared that a deal for the left-back had collapsed last week, however, fresh reports suggest that Bayer Leverkusen would be willing to sell the Dutchman to Newcastle if a replacement can be found. £14.5m is the fee being reported for this transfer.

8. Duvan Zapata
Newcastle have reportedly offered to take Zapata on loan until the end of the season with an obligation to buy the Colombian should Premier League survival be assured. Whilst Atalanta may be reluctant to see Zapata leave on loan, the fee offered by Newcastle, reportedly north of £30m, may be enough to tempt them into letting the 30-year-old leave.
