The three Newcastle United players who've returned to training two weeks early
Three Newcastle United players have returned to first-team training TWO weeks before pre-season is set to start.
Steve Bruce has ordered his Magpies players into the club’s Benton training base for a July 5 start ahead of their first summer friendlies against York City and Harrogate Town, both of which are slated for July 18.
And while some will still be taking time away from the area, making the most of their well-deserved summer break, three United men have been pictured getting themselves in condition ahead of the return of the rest.
The club’s Twitter account tweeted out pictures of Jacob Murphy, Paul Dummett and youngster Kelland Watts, all of whom were seen using the club’s gym to keep themselves ticking over.
Murphy is set to sign a new, extended deal ahead of the 2021/22 campaign, while Dummett too is likely to see his one-year contract clause activation turn into a longer-term deal this summer.
Watts spent last season on loan with Plymouth Argyle.
