Newcastle United paid more than £11million to agents and registered intermediaries over the past 12 months – but how does that compare to their Premier League rivals?

The figures, counted from February 1, 2020 to February 1, 2021, revealed that Newcastle made payments totalling £11,349,953 to agents and intermediaries – a £2million increase on the 2019/20 season.

The Magpies signed Callum Wilson and Jamal Lewis for around £35million last summer, while Ryan Fraser, Jeff Hendrick and Mark Gillespie joined on free transfers. Joe Willock joined the club on loan from Arsenal in January.

In total, £272,220,223 were paid to agents and intermediaries over the last year by all 20 top-flight. The information was released by the FA.
