That’s the view of his footballer son Alex as the Premier League assesses a proposed £300million takeover by a consortium led by Amanda Staveley.

Bruce, Newcastle’s head coach, reportedly “fears” for his future at St James’s Park, though the Gazette understands that he is safe, for now, if the takeover is approved by the Premier League in the coming weeks.

“I’ve seen certain comments, Sam Allardyce the other day saying he must be really worried, but trust me, if you could see him he’s very, very relaxed,” Alex Bruce told Football Insider.

“He doesn’t worry himself about things that are totally out of his control. He just keeps his head down and whatever will be, will be. He loves being Newcastle manager, but when there’s a takeover in place, you just have to watch this space.”
