Watch: Ayoze Perez scores ridiculous goal in Newcastle training

The Spaniard shared the moment he chipped goalkeeper Rob Elliot on Twitter prior to the club's friendly with St Patrick's Athletic.

The club are on a training camp in Dublin. During a crossing and shooting drill. Elliot pulled off a good save fro a header before rushing to his feet to prepare himself for a rebound. However as Perez walked away from the goal he bamboozled his team-mate with a ludicrous flick with the heel of his boot.

Elliot was left motionless as he watched the ball float over his head into the top corner before applause rippled around the training ground.

Perez queried on Twitter whether it would count towards the goal of the season contest. Elliot replied that he should have saved it for the friendly game.
