Steve Bruce’s side will resume their Premier League campaign a week today with a behind-closed-doors home game against Sheffield United following a three-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Newcastle continued their preparations for the restart with a 2-0 win over Hull City at an empty St James’s Park yesterday.

“When you see an empty St James's, it’s hardly recognisable from game day, but it’s the same for everyone. The supporters make Newcastle United. There’re people who want to work hard all week to buy their ticket and sit in the stand and shout on their team. There’s no greater place than Newcastle for that.”
