We're expecting a deadline day full of drama and intrigue, as a number of high profile deals look to be concluded - a process which could see some clubs' pursuit of players go right down to the wire. Here's a look at where Newcastle United and all their Premier League rivals are looking to strengthen before the window shuts.
17. Wolves - Winger
Perhaps mindful of the inevitable bidding war for Armand Traore next summer, Wolves want a new winger. They're in advanced talks to get Daniel Podence from Olympiacos, and he's likely to cost around £25m. (Photo by Milos Bicanski/Getty Images) | Getty Images Photo: Milos Bicanski
18. Southampton - Full-back
The Saints looked a transformed side following their harrowing 9-0 loss to Leicester City earlier in the season. They're looking to consolidate their push for mid table with the signing of Spurs defender Kyle Walker-Peters on loan. (Photo by Shaun Botterill/Getty Images) | Getty Images Photo: Shaun Botterill
19. Sheffield United - Midfielder and striker
Chris Wilder has already brought in two players this January, but they're not done yet. The Blades could secure midfielder Sander Berge for a record fee, and a move for strike Richairo Zivkovic could also go through.
