Newcastle have turned things around considerably since Howe took charge just under a year ago as he’s helped them move off the foot of the Premier League table, secure safety and now push convincingly into the top half this season. After 11 games, The Magpies sit sixth on 18 points.
Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Everton saw Newcastle continue their fine form under Howe at St James’s Park. Since the former AFC Bournemouth boss took charge, they have only been beaten by Manchester City and Liverpool at home in the Premier League.
So now Howe has managed an entire season’s worth of league matches for Newcastle, just where would the club rank if only matches since he took charge counted?
Teams who have been promoted and relegated to and from the Premier League in 2022 have also been counted despite not playing as many matches as some of the other sides in the division.
While Newcastle have played 38 matches under Howe, some sides have played one or two games fewer over the same period.
