What position does Remi Savage play?
Savage is a central defender but is also comfortable at left-back.
He spent last season in the Reds’ under-23s set up, though was in and out of the starting XI after facing strong competition.
Savage remains highly rated however. He was part of the young Liverpool squad that lifted the FA Youth Cup in 2019 – beating Manchester City on penalties.

What are Remi Savage’s qualities?
Savage is described as “a composed centre-back who reads the game well”.
Via the official Liverpool website, it adds: “His defensive qualities are augmented by the threat he often poses in the opposition penalty area from set-pieces.”
He also has experience of playing in the U19 UEFA Youth League and the Papa John’s Trophy, where he faced Wigan Athletic and Port Vale last season.

Savage has been in Liverpool’s academy for around 10 years.
