'Special' - Yoane Wissa makes Newcastle United request moments after Carabao Cup quarter-final goal
Newcastle United 2-1 Fulham: Yoane Wissa scored 10 minutes into his full debut as The Magpies progressed to the semi-final of the Carabao Cup.
Yoane Wissa has his eyes set on the Carabao Cup with Newcastle United after falling victim to the club’s cup run last season.
A year ago, Wissa scored a late consolation as The Magpies progressed through to the semi-finals of the cup with a 3-1 win over Brentford at St James’ Park. Newcastle went on to win the competition and end a 70-year domestic trophy drought in the process.
This season, Wissa was helping Newcastle beat another West London club to progress to the final four once again. Just 10 minutes into his first start for United, the forward pounced on a parried Jacob Murphy cross to put the hosts in front.
Sasa Lukic equalised for Fulham six minutes later and the match looked to be heading for penalties until Lewis Miley popped up in stoppage time to head Newcastle in front.

Lewis Miley reacts to winning goal
It’s now three goals for Miley in Newcastle’s last six matches in all competitions as the teenager is enjoying his best scoring season for the club to date.
Miley had to played the match at right-back opposed to midfield due to an injury blow to Lewis Hall. Kieran Trippier, Emil Krafth and Dan Burn are also out injured as full-back options while Tino Livramento went off during the win over Fulham with a suspected knee problem.
Reflecting on his goal, Miley said: "Great feeling. I thought I'd try to flick it on, and it luckily hit the back of the net and I'm buzzing. It's an unreal feeling. I grew up here, it couldn't be a better feeling and hopefully we progress to the final.
"We won it last season and hopefully we can do that again this year.
