With Fantasy Premier League managers now able to make unlimited transfers, the fitness of key players is more vital than ever – and FPL favourites Mo Salah and Andy Robertson are among those in a race to be fit for Gameweek 30+.

Mo Salah, Liverpool

Liverpool’s deadly forward is the Fantasy Premier League’s top point scorer, sitting on 186 points, but he is currently in a race to be fit for the Merseyside derby.

The Egyptian missed out on a bounce match with Blackburn last week due to fitness issues, but he reportedly featured in an inter-squad game on Sunday.

The Daily Mail’s Dominic King said that Salah was in the frame to feature against Everton this weekend.

Another FPL favourite, Andy Robertson also missed out against Blackburn Rovers last week.

Dominic King also confimred that Robertson would be fit enough to face Everton this weekend, meaning the runaway league leaders boast a clean bill of health ahead of Gameweek 30+

King said that the league leaders have “no fitness worries so far ahead of first game back”.

Ricardo Pereira, Liverpool

Behind the elite options of Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ricardo Pereira has been the go-to defensive option for FPL managers this season, racking up 123 points thus far.

Unfortunately it looks like the Portuguese won’t be in line to return for the Foxes again this season.

The full-back suffered ligament damage against Aston Villa in the final game before the coronavirus pause and scan results revealed that he suffered season-ending ligament damage.

Chris Wood, Burnley

Chris Wood has been a great budget option up-front this season, rattling in 11 goals so far this season.

But the Kiwi has been suffering with an achilles injury over the break and Sean Dyche has indicated that Wood is 50/50 to face Man City on Monday.

Dyche said: “[Ashley] Barnesy it still not quite right yet and Woody has a bit of a problem with his Achilles. We are waiting for more news on that”.

Ayoze Perez, Leicester City

Ayoze Perez was absent from an intra-squad friendly last week sparking concerns about his fitness.

But Brendan Rodgers has indicated that the Spaniard has returned to training, telling BBC Leicester: “Ayo Perez has been out for a few days but he should return to training now”.

That being said the forward may be hard-pushed to be fit in time for the Foxes clash with Watford.
