South Shields FC slash ticket prices for Hebburn friendly after fans' backlash
Bosses have agreed to slash entry fees into Mariners Park for tomorrow’s home friendly against Northern League neighbours Hebburn Town.
They say they acted in response to online and face-to-face feedback from supporters – and apologised for publicised high entry costs.

That is the same rate as for upcoming league games for the 2018-19 season, in which the newly-promoted club will play in the Evo-Stik Premier Division.
But it now says it will lower the turnstile price - and reimburse supporters who have already bought at the higher rate.
Entry for the game, which kicks off at 7.30pm, will now cost £6 for adults, £4 for students and over-65s, and £2 for under-16s.

“The club had set pre-season ticket prices to reflect its planned opponents.
“As ever, every penny generated throughout pre-season will be reinvested into the club and the SSFC Foundation.
“All supporters who pre-bought tickets for the match prior to the price change will have a portion of their payment reimbursed.
“Please contact the club to organise a refund. The club thanks all supporters for their continued backing.”
Tickets for the match can be bought at the turnstiles on matchday or in advance.
