The Black Cats head to St Andrew’s this weekend looking to continue their five-game unbeaten run, but will face a Coventry side high on confidence after a strong run of form.

Indeed, the Sky Blues drew 1-1 with leaders Rotherham in midweek and boss Robins believes there is no limit to what his side can achieve this season – if they can find some extra confidence.

And he also feels that his side have shown elements of what produces champions as they target a return to the Championship.

“We don’t have the belief yet, once the belief comes into them, the sky is the limit and that’s the biggest thing to come out of tonight,” he said, speaking to Coventry’s official website.

“We struggled to impose our game, but that is against a side that were in the Championship this time last year and who are big, powerful and strong and press better than any side that has come here bar none.

“We were a slither away from winning the game,” he continued.

“Those are the things, that little bit of extra belief or ruthlessness, that wins you the game and that’s what champions are made of.

“We’ll take the point and move on, another game coming on Sunday against Sunderland is another great one to look forward to.”
