McGeady has been out of the first-team picture for close to a year and, while he enjoyed a loan spell with Charlton Athletic last year, is struggling to find a permanent exit.

But Parkinson will not change his decision to exclude McGeady from the first team even if no move materialises – with an exit looking increasingly unlikely ahead of Friday’s 5pm deadline.

“Aiden is training with the U23s at the moment, I’m not aware of any calls for him,” Parkinson said.
