Scunthorpe have already allowed one striker to leave today, with Lee Novak joining Bradford City.
Sunderland are in the market for attacking reinforcements on deadline day, with a move for Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo expected to be completed imminently.
The forward is expected to join the Black Cats on a season-long loan, and will likely be accompanied through the door by Swansea City full-back Declan John – who is set to pen a similar deal.

Football Insider claim that Sunderland have identified Morris as a potential replacement for Aiden McGeady, who joined Charlton Atheltic on a season-long loan on Thursday evening.
But Fleetwood are likely to be reluctant to allow Morris to join the Black Cats, especially given the two teams are competing for promotion to the Championship this term.
