“We have over 24,000 season card holders this season and to have such amazing support, both home and away, makes us the envy of so many clubs.

“I would like to personally thank everyone for the backing they have given Phil and the players in recent months.

“We’ve got some real momentum behind us at present, which bodes well for a strong and positive finish to the season, with promotion being our aim.

“I hope as many supporters as possible can commit to renewing their seats for next season and be part of things moving forward.”

Sunderland have promised existing season ticket holders that they will pay no more for a season ticket next season providing they renew by the early bird deadline of April 16.

A club statement read: “Season card holders can expect their 2020-21 renewal packs to arrive next week.

“Sunderland AFC supporters have watched their side go undefeated at the Stadium of Light in 2020 and as Phil Parkinson’s side prepare for the final run-in, season card holders will be able to take advantage of early bird pricing and renew their seat for the 2020-21 campaign when renewal packs arrive next week.

“Early bird prices ensure that supporters won’t pay any more for their seat next season than they did for 2019-20, providing they renew by the deadline.”

Supporters will have until April 9 to advise the club should they wish to move where their season ticket is situated.
