We’re into the final two weeks of the January transfer window – with in and outgoings still possible at Sunderland.
The Black Cats are still trying to make their first signing of the month, while they have been linked with several players in recent weeks. There has been interest in some of Sunderland’s first-team players, while some may be allowed to leave on loan. Here's a run-down of all the SAFC transfer stories during this month’s window so far:

21. Elliot Embleton
Embleton's loan spell at Derby was officially ended this month. The 24-year-old suffered a thigh injury during his time at Pride Park, before undergoing surgery and returning to Wearside to complete his rehabilitation. Beale has said the midfielder could play again before the end of this season. Photo: Frank Reid

22. Benjamin Rollheiser
Sunderland were said to be eyeing an ambitious loan move to sign Argentine winger Rollheiser in the summer. The 23-year-old has instead signed a loan deal, which includes a compulsory purchase option, with the Portuguese club Benfica. Photo: Hernan Cortez

23. Alex Bass
AFC Wimbledon have confirmed the deadline has passed for Sunderland to recall goalkeeper Alex Bass, meaning he'll remain at the League Two club for the rest of the season. Photo: Frank Reid

24. Sam Gallagher
Blackburn striker Gallagher is another forward who Sunderland were said to be tracking, with the player's contract set to expire at the end of this season. Like Moore, the 28-year-old doesn't fit the profile of a player the Black Cats have predominantly targeted in the past. Ipswich have already reportedly seen a bid rejected for Gallagher this month, so it won’t be an easy deal to pull off. Photo: Cameron Smith
