There's some big choices for the Sunderland boss - with Kyle Lafferty and Bailey Wright both knocking on the door for a start.

Sunderland are unchanged for this evening's clash - meaning there is again no place for Kyle Lafferty, or fellow new recruit Bailey Wright, in the starting line-up.

Will Grigg and Tom Flanagan, meanwhile, drop out the squad completely.

Doncaster Rovers make two changes, with the evergreen James Coppinger surprisingly named on the bench.

As the not-so-dulcet tones of The Prodigy ruing around the Stadium of Light, the teams take to the field.

Yet again, no sign of Stewart Donald or Charlie Methven in the DIrectors' Box. Methven said on BBC Newcastle earlier this week that he would be attending the game.

Superb noise already here from the home fans, as Doncaster get the ball rolling.

New signings Bailey Wright and Kyle Lafferty received a particularly loud cheer when the teams were announced, but both were named on the bench this evening.

There's been no real chances as of yet, but referee James Adcock isn't endearing himself to the home faithful - with what looked to be stonewall fouls on Charlie Wyke and Chris Maguire waved away. They were in promising positions, too...
